Renewing Our Minds (ROM)

Investing in a new generation of leaders: leaders of integrity, committed to reconciliation and
peace-building, positive social action and leadership of service, transformed by the example
of Jesus of Nazareth.

Common Path Alliance participated in a young leaders forum in Croatia that brought
together teens and 20-somethings from fifteen countries. Represented at the
conference were Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox aspiring leaders.
There were students & married couples, Members of Parliament & children of
politicians, gypsies & war survivors from the atrocities in the Balkans.
A point of focus of the conference was on reconciliation, and for these young
leaders it was something that had to actively work through and live.
Bosnians were having dinner with Albanians, Russians and Romanians
played volleyball together, Muslims & Christians shared their hearts,
Croats, Macedonians, Turks and Palestinians were all meeting together
with a spirit of love and camaraderie. This two-week conference was
truly a powerful illustration of how Jesus Christ brings cultures,
religions & people together when they are willing to look at him
with fresh eyes.

“Renewing Our Minds, or ROM in short, is a Southeast European initiative
of change with the vision of a transformed leadership through the character
and teachings of Jesus Christ. Its mission is to develop leaders of integrity,
committed to reconciliation and peace-building in Southeast Europe and beyond;
who, renewed in their minds, characters, attitudes and actions in the likeness
of Jesus, are steadily transforming their constituencies, communities
and countries.”
